my DEAR Shihtzu

I love my best friend, she's my best home-partner, She's never complaining about everything, always entertaining, funny, cute, and never get angry... Guys, let me introduce my best friend... UNYIL, my shihtzu dog!

Her name is Unyil, yeah some of u might ask about her 'funny' and ridiculous name. Actually her name is Brietling Navitimer von Heaven at her certificate when I first adopted her. Because It was difficult to pronounce, my family decided to give her nick name so we can call her easily. 
Mesmerized by her cute and innocent appearance suddenly one name popped up on our mind when we try to call her, That name was Unyil, which means cute, little in Indonesian.


This is how she looks like when I first bring her home, she's 3 months old at that time!

 

Day after day we enjoy raising her as our first pet (my mom first rejected her because she used to hate dog! but now she loves her so muchh), we enjoy playing with her, feed her, outing with her, and showering her love everyday! Now, she's almost 5 years old and we love her even more!!

I suggest you to have a dog if you don't have one, because dog is such a lovely creature (I know It depends on dog's variety also). You shower them with love and they will give you their everything! She will never complain about you and your look and Also you will always have a friend to accompany you jogging outside :p

Unlike any other of your friends, your dog will never cheat on you, nor say a bad thing about yourself! She will always stand on your side and will never hurt your feeling. I love having my dog on my side <3 <3

From many kind of dog's variety, why shihtzu? I don't know how to answer either, I just love how cute shihtzus with their lovely silky hair, reminded me of Chinese princess in ancient times. Shihtzu actually originated in china by the way, and this breed was raised by patricians, Kings and Queens at that time. It also said that the name comes from the Chinese word for "lion dog" because this kind of dog resembles Chinese guardian lion in ancient time. So interesting, isn't it?
And for my own opinion, shihtzu is much more calm and quiet compared with the other small dog.

Raising Shihtzu maybe hard at some ways, because they have a long hairy coat to take care of carefully (Especially when you grow their hair until it reaches to the floor). Also, we must watch what they eat so their fur will always comes shiny and silky, you have to make sure too getting them groomed at least once a week, brush them constantly, and locate her in sun-unexposed place because shihtzu usually can't stand for hot air.

This is my TIPS and TRICK how to raise shihtzu properly :
1. Brush them constantly to make sure there's no hair comes frizzy and tangle because their hair is long and thick. Sometimes add dog's powder or you can use baby powder so their hair will smell good and so tender to touch.

2. Don't give them your food! Because salty food could make their hair fall out and rough, we must give them organic dog food or unsalted cooked meat/liver. Avoid raw food.

3. Groom them at least once a week, check if there any flea inside their hair. Brush your shihtzu before you groom them, Make sure you use mild shampoo. Sometimes let your shihtzu to have a short hair cut, especially in the middle of hot weather like my country.

4. Give your shihtzu comfortable bed and locate it in the cool place and your shihtzu will sleep there in the night instead of on the floor.

5. Showering them with love everyday. Play with them, getting outside with them. Don't let your shihtzu become lazy and inactive all along the day.

So now I think you're ready to adopt Shihtzu :D
